Mon County Area Habitat for Humanity is a volunteer-driven organization. We welcome people from all walks of life to join us as we build simple, decent, affordable homes in partnership with families in need.
We invite volunteers to help us build, work in the ReStore, serve on committees, and help with special projects that benefit the organization.
As a volunteer for Mon County Area Habitat for Humanity, there is always a place for you to bring your unique talents and skills. Experience is not necessary to volunteer with us. Our staff and Volunteer Supervisors will provide you with all the training needed. Our partner families work alongside many of our volunteers while they are earning sweat equity, so it’s a great way to meet future Habitat homeowners.
Habitat for Humanity offers multiple ways for individuals to join us in our mission of eliminating poverty housing. Whether it’s swinging a hammer, stocking inventory at the ReStore, or serving on one of our volunteer teams, there is a place for individuals from all walks of life to volunteer at Mon County Habitat. Some volunteer roles include:
All construction volunteers must be 16 years or older to participate in general site construction. Volunteers 14-16 years old can participate in painting or landscaping activities. Please schedule with the Volunteer Coordinator ahead of time if you’re 14-16.
Volunteering is a great way to bring your corporate, faith, or community group together and improve your teamwork. We offer construction and ReStore opportunities for groups. If you would like to register a work group please call the main office or email the volunteer coordinator in advance as there is additional information needed to complete the registration process.
