Building on Faith is Habitat for Humanity’s annual celebration on faith partnerships during which Habitat groups around the world are encouraged to host building projects and celebrations with their congregational partners. Another emphasis of Building on Faith is to encourage congregations to pray for and to become advocates for those in need of shelter. Mon County Habitat for Humanity will celebrate 2015 Building on Faith on Saturday, September 5 and Tuesday, September 8 through Saturday, September 12.
We invite volunteers to come and build with us during one of two shifts: 12:00-4 and 4-8pm. The shifts on Saturdays are from 8-noon and 12:30-4. We also invite church members who may not be interested or able to help with construction, to get involved through preparing and serving dinner to the work groups.
Please contact Tracy Thewlis, chair of the Faith Relations Committee, at firstname.lastname@example.org to volunteer or for more information.
Do you have to be a Christian to work with Habitat or to be a Habitat homeowner?
No. Habitat for Humanity is a Christian housing ministry that invites the help of all those who would join us in the effort to eliminate poverty housing.
Is Habitat for Humanity affiliated with any particular denomination?
No. Habitat for Humanity is not affiliated with any individual church or church group. We enjoy the support of many churches and faith groups.
How can I get involved?

Furthermore, you could join the Faith Relations Committee to help advocate for Habitat, plan events, and establish partnerships within our Faith community.
